Miscellania

Miscellania, often referred to as Misc, is a Melbourne nightclub established in 2021 by Georgia Vokes, Sasha Logan, and Tim Fennell. It is situated on Swanston Street in the CBD, opposite RMIT University. The venue's interior has been characterised as a 'New York style loft apartment', featuring a dedicated dance floor and a rooftop bar. Known for its diverse programming, Miscellania frequently hosts nights that incorporate experimental and alternative music, alongside dance performances and art installations. The music policy is often described as 'left-field', showcasing quirky, boundary-breaking, and hard-hitting sounds. Events can range from Techno nights to choir performances, performance art, and noise shows. The venue includes Misc Rooftop, an independently operated, free-entry bar. This upstairs area, formerly the smoking area, was renovated in 2025 and hosts non-dance DJ sets, kitchen pop-ups, and community-focused events such as film screenings. Miscellania aims to provide varied musical and artistic experiences for its patrons.
