Trough X
Trough X, also known as Trough Events, is an event promoter and brand originally founded by Nik Dimopoulos. The brand organises events focused on fostering an inclusive environment for consenting bodies, sexual practices, and kinks. Initially active in Sydney around 2015, Trough hosted after-parties at Sydney Sauna, aiming to provide a safe space for the gay community. Over five years, Trough held events at various Sydney nightclubs, including Midnight Shift, Universal, The Arthouse, The Metro, and Oxford Art Factory. In recent years, Trough X has sought to re-establish a permanent presence in Sydney, with plans for a queer community space in Surry Hills. The organisation aims to continue providing events where individuals can freely express themselves and engage in play.
