Heaps Gay
Heaps Gay is an event promoter and collective based in Sydney, Australia, established in 2013 by Kat Dopper. The organization creates parties and events for the queer community and allies, aiming to foster safe and inclusive spaces. Their events range from large street festivals to smaller warehouse parties, platforming Australian and international queer multidisciplinary talent. Heaps Gay has collaborated with festivals such as Falls Festival, Vivid Sydney, Melbourne Music Week, Brisbane Festival, Groovin The Moo, and Mardi Gras. They have received awards including Best Music Event from Time Out and FBi Radio SMAC Awards. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Heaps Gay launched Loud n Queer TV, a livestreamed music show on Facebook to support young queer musicians and connect the community.
