Wilson Cafe
Wilson Cafe, located in Surry Hills, operates as a social enterprise and a unique event space. The venue has gained recognition for hosting "cafe rave" events, which offer an alternative to traditional nightlife by combining a vibrant dance floor atmosphere with coffee instead of alcohol, often held during daytime hours. KIKII's event records indicate that Wilson Cafe is a key location for queer events and warehouse parties, hosting high-energy raves and intimate dance nights. The venue is known for its House music and creating an inclusive, expressive environment. This makes Wilson Cafe a centre for a diverse crowd seeking an immersive party experience without necessarily involving alcohol. The cafe's events, such as "DAY FOR IT," feature live DJs and foster a sense of community, particularly within the queer scene. These gatherings often extend into long weekends, providing a sustained space for dancing and socialising.
