Shipment
Shipment is a new 1,200-capacity open-air events space near Melbourne's CBD, operated by Slack Sound System. It features an industrial aesthetic with corrugated metal walls and an open sky overhead, making it Melbourne's largest dedicated electronic music venue to open recently. The venue's precise location is kept secret until shortly before each event, a practice consistent with Slack Sound System's previous warehouse parties. Slack Sound System has spent over four years organising successful warehouse parties, block parties, and pop-up raves across Melbourne, consistently selling out events. Shipment marks their transition to a permanent home, providing a dedicated space for electronic music in a city where promoters often rely on temporary leases. The venue hosts daytime events and features a sound system. Regularly featuring events with deep, tech house, and house music, Shipment attracts a crowd keen on day parties and underground electronic sounds. Past events, such as the S.A.S.H Melbourne x No Way Back x One Percent ★ SlapFunk 15th Anniversary, highlight a focus on quality electronic music and an energetic atmosphere.
