Cafe Gummo
Established in March 2019, Cafe Gummo is an intimate dive bar and community live music venue situated on High Street in Thornbury. With a capacity of around 100 people, the space operates with an anti-fascist, pro-LGBTQIA+ ethos, offering an unpretentious pub atmosphere alongside beer, toasties, pierogi, and weekly cheap vegan meals. The venue features live entertainment up to six nights a week, with programming spanning local punk, hard dance, experimental noise, spoken word, and regular drag and karaoke nights. The crowd is largely composed of local punks, alternative creatives, and the queer community looking for an inclusive, grass-roots neighbourhood hangout.
