Bar Freda's
Bar Freda's is a two-level venue in Chippendale, Sydney, marking the return of the popular Freda's hospitality crew. The space occupies heritage terraces connected to The Abercrombie, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for food, drink, and music. The ground floor features vintage light fittings, original Freda's reupholstered bar stools, and large bay windows. Upstairs, a dedicated DJ room is equipped with a Danley Sound System, surrounded by cosy booths and a stainless-steel bar designed for late-night entertainment. The food menu offers an eclectic mix of bar snacks, nostalgic pastas, and stacked sandwiches. Highlights include Sydney Rock Oysters, housemade pickles, sliced meats, marinated vegetables, and Lasagne Croquettes with hot sugo. The pasta selection includes throwbacks to Freda's cult pasta nights, such as Rigatoni with eggplant ragu and stracciatella, and Mafaldine with crab, tomato, chilli, and pangrattato, alongside rotating deli-style sandwiches.
