We're Not Okay! A Queer Fundraiser and Party!
We’re Not Okay is an emo-themed adult play party and fundraiser celebrating the alternative, confessional, and authentic parts of ourselves. The afternoon features an immersive atmosphere for roleplay, desire, and self-expression soundtracked by 2000s emo anthems, alongside a live rope performance and access to the venue's specialised play facilities. Organised by Let's Make a Scene, this private, referral-only gathering is designed to offer an intentional and safer space for neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ community members. After venue and production costs are covered, all profits from ticket sales directly support medical care and physical therapy for three LGBTQIA+ individuals living with disabilities. Pineapples Lifestyle Bar provides full facilities including private rooms, multiple open play spaces, change rooms with secure lockers, and a licensed bar. Engagement in play is entirely optional, with dedicated consent angels and facilitators on hand throughout the afternoon.
