Videocouch // Halloween Costume Party
Come and celebrate Halloween with Videocouch, Pointe and Jester & The Fools for a night of live music, drink prizes, and frightening characters. This event encourages attendees to dress in spooky costumes, with a $100 bar tab prize for the best dressed. Jester and the Fools, a queer, Magandjin-based experimental rock trio, will delight with their genre-hopping and satirical approach. Pointe, an emerging five-piece alternative rock band from Meanjin/Brisbane, will bring their abrasive, bittersweet, and otherworldly sounds to the stage. Videocouch, a Meanjin/Brisbane-based alt-rock sextet, will share their authentic, cathartic, and eclectic sound, influenced by ambient, classical, folk, indie, jazz, and post-punk. These three amazing bands will perform dark, atmospheric music perfectly suited for a haunting Halloween night. Guests are strongly encouraged to don their most creative costumes for a chance to win the bar tab prize. The event takes place at The Junk Bar in New Farm, Queensland, and is restricted to patrons aged 18 and over.
