Trans Life Drawing with Elias Youssef, September
This life drawing session is exclusively for transgender, gender diverse, and nonbinary individuals, strictly 18+. Elias Youssef, a Naarm-based artist, facilitates this two-hour tutored class, which welcomes both beginners and experienced artists. The session includes a brief presentation and guided instruction, with opportunities for individualised feedback. The models are selected to represent a diverse range of bodies, including queer and trans bodies, often underrepresented in traditional life drawing settings. All necessary materials are provided for participants. Elias Youssef (they/he) is a versatile artist working across tattooing, oil painting, and digital illustration. Their art often explores classical themes alongside commentary on queerness. Elias regularly conducts life drawing workshops at Pink Ember Studio in Coburg. To ensure attendance, a $5 refundable deposit is required. This deposit is refunded if you attend or cancel at least two days in advance. Failure to cancel within this timeframe or a no-show will result in a $15 charge. If the fee presents a financial barrier, please contact coordinator@tgv.org.au. The organiser has implemented COVID-19 safety measures, including available N95/K94 masks, open doors/windows, hand sanitiser, and air purification. Attendees are encouraged to take a rapid antigen test before attending and to stay home if feeling unwell.
