The Buttery Queer Open Mic (Almost All Ages)

The Buttery Music School is bringing their community spirit to the intimate corners of The Junk Bar for an (almost) all ages queer-led open mic. This event is open to participants aged 12 years and over, with minors requiring guardian accompaniment. It will be followed by a set from one of Brisbane's favourite queer bands. Attendees are encouraged to bring their music, comedy, poetry, or any other creative endeavour. Whether you are a debutant songwriter, a brand new band, or a seasoned comic testing new material, this stage is for you. In the spirit of Melt Fest, expect a warm and inclusive room where everyone is welcome, and every mistake is met with applause. This is a supportive environment for all performers and audience members. This event is the second session in a two-part series. The other session is an 18+ open mic scheduled for Wednesday, 28th October.
