The 2026 Victorian State Election as told by Drag Kings
A collection of campy and chaotic drag acts tenuously tied to the theme of Victorian State or Australian politics. This is the show for anyone feeling burned out or bored by the election cycle. Produced by Nolan Void, a drag king and butch-lesque performer from rural Canada who now lives in the big city of Naarm (Melbourne). Held together by duct tape and stoicism, this moustached, middle-aged man of mystery pays homage to handsome handymen and hunters from rural and rustic areas. He has produced or co-produced many local drag and variety shows, including Strapped: A Sapphic Burlesque and Butch-lesque Show and The 2025 Australian Election as Told By Drag Kings. The rest of the cast will be announced soon. Doors open at 7pm, with the show commencing at 7:30pm. Pride of our Footscray is located up two flights of stairs and is unfortunately not accessible for wheelchairs or walking frames. There will be no strobe lighting or strobe effects in this show, and masks are encouraged.
