Remembering Whitney - Celebrating the Classic Song Book
Remembering Whitney is a Sydney-based show that honours the very great Whitney Houston. It features the spectacular and experienced vocalist Bec Caruana, along with emerging artists Sheena Wilbow and Aaliya Duchesne, who are all capable of tackling Whitney's extensive song-book. The performance is led by Keyboard-player and Musical Director Sam McNally. Whitney Houston was one of the most awarded performers of all time, a cultural icon who broke down gender and race barriers through her music. Ranked second on Rolling Stone's list of "greatest singers of all time" in 2023, she achieved sales of over 220 million records worldwide. Sam McNally is an accomplished Australian keyboardist, having been a member of '70s blue-eyed soul group Stylus and toured with artists such as Air Supply and Tommy Emmanuel. Bec Caruana is a multi-platinum award-winning songwriter and singer who has toured with Pink and sold over 1.8 million units globally. Sheena Wilbow brings her class, style, and sass, having reached the top 6 groups of X Factor Australia in 2011. Aaliya Duchesne, an Australian Idol 2024 sensation, embraces her soulful R&B roots with a powerful, unique raspy tone. The band also includes Ben Ackland on guitar/keyboards, Tony Boyd on drums, and Christian Young on bass. Dinner & Show tickets include a shared platter and a main meal, with the venue opening at 6.30 pm and music starting around 8.30 pm. Please book carefully as no refunds or exchanges are offered.
