Queer Girls Eat Club - Lazza Marrickville
This event offers a safe space for queer women to experience a traditional Filipino Boodle Fight at Lazza Marrickville. The boodle fight involves a long table set with banana leaves, where food is placed in the middle to share. Traditionally, Filipinos eat with their hands, and gloves will be provided for attendees. Lunch is priced at $45 (plus booking fee) and includes a variety of Filipino dishes such as Lechon Kawali, Pinakbet, BBQ skewers, Pansit canton, fried eggplant & green beans, grilled bungus, fried calamari, rice, salted egg, onion & tomato, and fruit. Please note that dietary alternatives or substitutions are not possible for this menu. Additional drinks or food can be purchased on the day. Limited spots are available for this unique dining experience. After lunch, there is an optional viewing of the Filipino animation film 'Forgotten Island' at Broadway cinema. Movie tickets will be released closer to the date and will cost $14 plus booking fee. This is an in-person event, running for approximately two hours. All tickets are non-refundable.
