Queer Afro-Desi Dynasty

Queer Afro-Desi Dynasty is a vibrant celebration of queer Afro-South Asian culture, artistry, and community, created in response to the lack of inclusive spaces. Many queer individuals often feel fragmented, navigating spaces where their full identity isn't recognised. This event aims to bridge that gap, offering a unique environment where all facets of identity are celebrated. Following the sold-out success of the 2024 Queer Desi Dynasty, this expanded vision welcomes queer African and South Asian communities to express themselves fully. It's more than just a party; it's a developing cultural platform. Attendees can anticipate live performances and DJ sets from queer African and South Asian artists, alongside local community vendors and creatives. The space will be enhanced with immersive visuals and culturally-rooted styling, all fostering a deeply engaged, values-driven community. The dance floor is set to be a hub of joy, expression, and liberation. Every ticket purchased contributes to the Community Care Fund, which provides subsidised, culturally responsive mental health support to individuals facing financial hardship. The event is presented by Umeed Psychology x The Third Place, in collaboration with Kaisha Lux.
