POPCHOPS - MUSIC, FASHION, FILM, CONFESSIONS - A QUEER DANCE PARTY

Melbourne, we have a confession: on August 15th, Popchops is taking you on a runway straight to Danceteria. This queer celebration is all about music, fashion, and film, with a strong focus on very gay pop music. It's a night for queers, kweens, trans icons, lesbians, gays, beards, bears, non-binary babes, and everyone in the LGBTQIA+ family to come together and dance. DJs Andy and Simon will be spinning new pop manifestos from artists like Madonna and Charli XCX, alongside your favourite current and throwback pop bangers. The night features an impressive lineup of divas, including resident icon Max Dragqueen, supernatural siren Xena Ghost, high-shine chanteuse Gloss The Queen, and powerhouse bombshell Lynn Duuuh. Popchops offers an escape from reality, a night that is good for the soul where everyone is celebrated as a work of art, and the dancefloor is always vibrant. This event recognises that it takes place on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, paying respects to elders past, present, and emerging. Rubix Warehouse in Brunswick, Victoria, will host the festivities. Tickets are available via Humanitix, with 100% of profits from booking fees dedicated to charity.
