PLAYNICE CONFIDENTIAL 017 | MERVE

PLAYNICE Confidential offers a consistent Saturday night experience built around shared chemistry, connection, creativity, and quality music. This intentional, playful, and quietly defiant event welcomes all. This edition features Merve, widely recognised as one of Australia’s most renowned dance music auteurs. Merve is a trailblazer in the underground community, known for her ability to traverse a broad scope of styles and defy genre restrictions while maintaining a unique sonic signature. Her sets, from sweaty basement parties to large-scale festivals, promise an immersive journey. The Berlin-based, Naarm/Melbourne native has a keen fascination with breaking down barriers between audience and performer, blurring the dichotomy between light and dark. Merve seamlessly jumps between genres, capturing the dance floor with infectious energy and always delivering the unexpected. Her creative process involves curating music from a rich cultural past into a modern context, creating a refreshing and timeless dance floor experience. PLAYNICE Confidential acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the traditional custodians of these lands and waters. They pay their respects to elders past, present, and emerging. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are invited to attend this event free of charge; contact playniceconfidential@gmail.com for enquiries.
