Panel Discussion: Building Trans-Inclusive Sport - A Conversation with Pride Cup
Transgender Victoria and Pride Cup are teaming up at Affirmation Station for a proper conversation on what actually makes sport welcoming for trans and gender diverse people. It is a panel designed to look past polite policy statements and dig into the practical side of grassroots clubs, facilities, and the reality of getting on the field. The lineup brings together athletes and leaders with genuine mileage in Victorian sport. Host Rudy Jean Rigg facilitates a discussion featuring soccer coordinator Aisling Haugh from Melbourne Rovers, AFL coach Marnee Silver, ice hockey goalie Eleanor Watson from Southern Lights, and referee Saph from Spikey Dykes. Affirmation Station sits right on Lygon Street with step-free wheelchair access, nearby tram links, and a dedicated quiet space if you need a breather. Entry runs on a pay-as-you-feel scale starting at a dollar, making it easy to pull up a chair and listen in.
