Our Stories on Screen: QUT Pride Film Festival
Join us for a special screening of films by QUT students, staff, and alumni that explore queer lives across generations. These films cover historical struggles for visibility and equality through to contemporary stories of identity, community, and self-determination. Together, these works reveal the ongoing efforts required to create safer and more inclusive spaces while celebrating the resilience, creativity, and courage of LGBTQIA+ communities. The expected runtime for the program is approximately 80 minutes, excluding any intermission. Food and drinks will be provided for attendees. The film program includes 'Oxford Street' (2020), 'Queen's Land' (2024), 'The Queer History of QUT' (2026), 'ACE' (2023), 'Uncovered Lives' (2022), and 'Brotherboy' (2021). These works cover themes such as legal doctrines, drag history, institutional advocacy, asexuality, gender-affirming healthcare, and Indigenous transgender identity in Australia.
