This Autumn, ODDBEAT delves into the darkness, not to vanish, but to glow even brighter. The event encourages attendees to be a vibrant contrast to the mundane, to add glitter to the everyday machine. The theme is club kid noir, after-hour glamour, and transgressive energy. Attendees are encouraged to dress provocatively, like they might be asked to leave—but they won't. Looks and drag are highly encouraged, with suggestions for dramatic eyes, acid accents, and UV reactive elements. Oddbeat is an LGBTQIA+ inclusive event, welcoming all genders, bodies, and sexualities. Antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated; consent and respect are mandatory. It aims to be a space for community-building, gender defiance, and hot beats. We acknowledge that this event takes place on the unceded lands of the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation.
