NOISY HOUR EXTENDED PRESENTS : COLLECTOR, PURE MASS, LIVESTOCK, LEU-ENKEPHALIN (FREE ENTRY)
Noisy Hour Extended proudly presents a line-up featuring Collector, Pure Mass, Livestock, and Leu-Enkephalin, offering a unique opportunity to experience diverse musical and artistic performances. Collector is the solo project of Jason Campbell, known for his pounding rhythms, brooding ambience, and mangled field recordings that capture the industrial spirit of Newcastle. Pure Mass, a four-piece from Gadigal, Wangal, Dharug, and Wiradjuri lands, delivers heavy, loud, and repetitive noise rock/doom, with extensive touring planned for their upcoming release. Livestock, a post-punk band from Bundjalung, writes songs exploring themes of extraction, labour, and survival, focusing on ethical and equitable practices with funds returned to hosting venues. Leu-Enkephalin, a Bundjalung-based guitar, electronics, and media arts duo, delves into improvised and composed methods. Their work draws from personal histories, subconscious reflection, and the acknowledgment of 'incidental' rhythms and textures found in elemental, cultural, and industrial forms. This event is free and open to all ages, with no bookings required. The Lismore Regional Gallery and event space are wheelchair accessible. Please note a sensory warning for potentially loud noise. For accessibility discussions, contact the gallery via email or phone.
