Melanie C to headline free Sydney DJ party at The Beresford
Sporty Spice is taking over the courtyard, and you will not have to part with a single dollar to get in. Melanie C headlines Beresford Sundays for an afternoon DJ set off the back of her Sweat album, just hours before wrapping up her national tour down at the Enmore. Absolut and Tabasco are putting on the drinks, which means spicy vodkas and precisely the kind of sweat you signed up for. Downstairs gets moving from midday with sixteen years of Beresford regulars behind the decks: Kadance, Colin Gaff, Alex Taylor, CallmeCHRS and Adam Love working through disco, pop and house. The upper level opens at 1pm, where Melanie C headlines alongside resident DJ queens Fairah Nuff, Kalin Klein, Danni Issues, Dammit Janet, Mynx Moscato, Karna Ford, April Mae June and Charlamaine, with sets from Hayday, Erfaan, Dingo Disco and Jordan Haych. Doors open at 12:00 and admission is completely free, which means the line on Bourke Street will not be polite. Up top fills fast, so get in early or prepare to watch the afternoon from the stairs…
