March with Minus18: Midsumma Pride March 2027

It’s Melbourne’s biggest Pride festival, and you’re invited to march with Minus18 at Midsumma Pride March 2027! This is your chance to join the loudest, proudest celebration of LGBTQIA+ community in Melbourne, alongside Minus18, Australia’s champions for LGBTQIA+ youth. Our youth events are usually just for 13-18 year-olds, but Pride March is special: it’s for everyone. That means parents, guardians, family, friends, allies, sports teams, school pride groups, even pets, can all stand proudly with the LGBTQIA+ young people in their lives. The march will start at Ian Johnson Oval with a meet-up and arrival time of 9:30am for check-in and wristbands, with the march commencing at 10:30am. The route is 1km long, moving from Ian Johnson Oval to Catani Gardens. Participants should look for the big Minus18 sign upon arrival and show their registration to collect a wristband. Participants are advised to bring a hat, sunscreen, water, comfortable shoes, and breathable clothes due to likely sunny and hot conditions. Minus18 staff and youth workers will be present to ensure safety and support, alongside youth drag performers leading the group. Free flags, pride goodies, and plenty of colour will be available. Participants are encouraged to make their own signs, with a Minus18 Banner & Sign making event planned beforehand. Whether attending solo, with friends, or in a large group, everyone is welcome. Groups and adults marching with young people are also welcome, with specific group registration options available. Please note, all adults must march with a young person – no solo adults. Registrations are free but essential. The first 150 young people (13-18) to arrive will get exclusive early access to Queer Formal Melbourne tickets, which consistently sell out quickly. LGBTQIASB+ young people are prioritised to march at the very front.
