Lifesavers with Pride
Come along to a no-stress introduction to surf lifesaving hosted by Qtopia Sydney and Lifesavers with Pride. A panel of LGBTQIA+ lifesavers will share their experiences both on and off the beach. Following the panel, there will be social drinks where you will have the opportunity to mingle with LGBTQIA+ lifesavers, ask questions, and learn more about surf lifesaving. This event aims to embrace the surf lifesaving movement which offers a chance to learn safety and confidence at the beach, improve fitness, participate in surf sports, and join a nationwide community of over 198,000 members. Lifesavers with Pride is the peak body representing LGBTQIA+ surf lifesavers. They lead community events to promote an inclusive surf lifesaving culture, empower LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies to join local surf clubs, and support other movements with LGBTQIA+ inclusion.
