Junipero returns for a special Pride Fest edition, celebrating the individuals, narratives, and venues that contributed to Sydney’s queer community. This event honours the history of Oxford Street, acknowledged as the spiritual home of LGBTQIA+ nightlife in Sydney, by highlighting the activists, performers, and community leaders who have shaped its vibrant culture. The evening will feature a diverse lineup of performances, including a ballroom showcase from House of Silky, a presentation by First Nations drag artist El Beauty (Miss Deadly 2025), and a burlesque act from Sabrina Valentine. Additionally, "Pride Legends in Conversation" will feature 78er Peggy Gulliver and Dyke on Bike Leslie Hudson-Moon, who will share personal reflections on decades of activism, celebration, and community building. Junipero is designed as an immersive space for Lesbians, Queer Women, Trans, and Non-Binary people, operating with a strict non-discrimination policy. First Nations people attending the event are guaranteed free entry by contacting Junipero via Instagram, Facebook, or email. The event takes place at the Burdekin Hotel in Darlinghurst, New South Wales. It is an 18+ event, and photographs or footage may be taken for promotional purposes.
