GAYC/DC (USA)
GAYC/DC, an all-gay tribute to rock's famously heterosexual band AC/DC, is bringing their show to Australia for the first time. The band offers an unapologetically queer celebration of AC/DC's music, proving that classic rock anthems can be brilliantly and authentically gay. Founded by Christopher Freeman (bassist for queercore legends Pansy Division) and drummer Brian Welch, GAYC/DC is known for its "spot on" musicianship. They transform beloved tracks like "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" into "Dirty Dudes (Done Dirt Cheap)" with a high-voltage, glitter-infused rock experience. The show promises big riffs, big choruses, and big energy with a gloriously queer twist. Audiences can expect to laugh, sing along to familiar hooks, and enjoy a vibrant, inclusive atmosphere. The band has garnered genuine respect, turning sceptics into fans with their unique approach to classic rock. This event is perfect for those who love AC/DC, rock music, or simply want to witness a classic catalogue reimagined with a fabulous makeover. Tickets are on sale now, and patrons are advised that this event is expected to move quickly for the Prince Bandroom.
