Fashioning Queer Identities

The Melt Festival and COLLAB invite LGBTQIA+ creatives in Brisbane to join a collaborative, multimedia project celebrating queer expression and community. Open to all experience levels, this free project features seven creative workshops, one photo shoot, and an exhibition showcasing participants' work. The event culminates in a three-evening festival at the exhibition, which will include DJs and guest performers. This initiative provides a space to create and connect, whether participants are interested in art, fashion, performance, or all three. It is free, safe, welcoming, and proudly queer. The exhibition is suitable for ages 15+ and may contain loud noises and sexual references. Opening night is free, with subsequent nights being paid admission, with all proceeds supporting LGBTQIA+ community organisations.
