Step into a world where the music is timeless, the energy is electric, and the dance floor is a place of pure joy. "Devoted to Disco" is more than just a nightclub event – it’s a community-focused celebration of life, love, and the golden era of disco. Designed for people who love to dance without the overwhelm of a large nightclub, guests can expect iconic 70s and 80s disco anthems, a friendly crowd, and a dance floor that feels joyful, welcoming, and full of heart. This event is the inspired creation of London-born, Sydney-based recording artist, singer, and disco diva Clio. She aims to uplift and unite all ages, persuasions, and walks of life on the dance floor under a disco ball, creating a safe space where everyone can feel inspired to be themselves. This night promises non-stop 70s & 80s disco classics, glitter, good vibes, and timeless grooves. The event takes place on Saturday 16th May at Universal Sydney in Darlinghurst, with boogieing in the main bar downstairs, which is fully accessible. Expect a DJ spinning disco classics from legends like Diana Ross, Donna Summer, Sylvester, and Sister Sledge, complemented by dazzling drag performances from Hannah Conda and Carmen Geddit, and live singing from Clio. "Devoted to Disco" brings the spirit of Studio 54 straight to the dance floor, welcoming sequins, platforms, or just a big smile. It is an inclusive space with zero tolerance for racism, homophobia, sexism, or violence. The event acknowledges the traditional owners and custodians of the land and pays respect to elders past, present, and emerging. This event is strictly 18+ due to being held at a licensed venue.
