Venue: Universal Nightclub, Darlinghurst

Dance Therapy is a fun, beginner-friendly dance class designed to help you reset after work, lift your mood, and feel more energised for the rest of the week. Held at Universal Sydney in Darlinghurst, this early-evening experience combines music, guided movement, and social connection in a welcoming LGBTQ+ inclusive environment. The format involves guided movement and pop music, with no pressure or performance required. Each session is structured to help participants feel comfortable and uplifted, including a grounding welcome, gentle warm-up, confidence-building strut, easy step-by-step dance routine to iconic pop artists, and time to socialise. No dance experience or fitness confidence is needed, allowing participants to move at their own pace. This class is ideal for LGBTQ+ adults and allies (18+ venue requirement), beginners, and anyone seeking a structured weekly mood boost or fun social connection without nightlife pressure. Most participants attend solo and often form lasting friendships. The venue is located in the heart of Sydney’s queer precinct. Classes take place in an upstairs nightclub space with music and lighting effects. Breaks, earplugs, and modifications are always welcome. Comfortable activewear and sneakers are recommended. Sessions have sold out this season, with limited places available to maintain a supportive group atmosphere.
