Brisbane’s ‘Gay Out: Block Party’ Is The New Gay Party On The Block

Gay Out: Block Party is set to keep Brisbane's queer celebration spirit alive, following the announcement that Big Gay Day would take a break in 2026. Organised by Harry K, known for his high-energy, welcoming events, this block party promises a full day of live performances and DJ sets. The lineup features a fantastic selection of queer performers and drag superstars from across the country. Beverly Kills, star of Drag Race Down Under season two, will host the event, with fellow season two sister Kween Kong also performing. Aussie pop superstar Samantha Jade will headline the live music. DJ’s including Jesse Boyd [MEL], Alvyon [SYD], Nic Holland [SYD], Kayty Banks, DJ Donna, and WDJ40 will keep the party vibrant throughout the day. This event offers a chance for the community to gather, reconnect, and celebrate Brisbane’s queer vibrancy and resilience, especially during the King’s Birthday long weekend. For those wishing to continue the festivities, an official after-party will commence at The Warehouse from 9pm until late. The block party takes place at The Wickham Hotel in Fortitude Valley.
