BIRDCAGE XXL ☆ 14TH BIRTHDAY ☆ FRIDAY JUNE 26 ☆
Birdcage, established fourteen years ago on King Street, has been a central hub for lesbian, queer, trans, and GNC individuals in Sydney. It has fostered numerous sapphic encounters, dancefloor connections, and lasting friendships over the years. The event prides itself on being Sydney/Eora's only consistent weekly sapphic night. To mark its 14th birthday, Birdcage is expanding from its usual Wednesday night format to host a special XXL edition on a Friday night. This event will take over The Abercrombie Hotel, offering an extended celebration for both long-time attendees and newcomers. The lineup for the night includes DJ sets from Calmell, Cunningpants, Diva Cups, and Hazboy. Performances will feature Cookie Kutter, Karlee Misi, Ruby Teys, and Te$h, promising a diverse range of entertainment. The event runs from 9pm on 26 June until 3am the following morning at The Abercrombie Hotel in Chippendale. Birdcage acknowledges the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation, the traditional custodians of the land where the event takes place, and pays respects to Elders past and present. Tickets are available ranging from $11.00 for Community tickets to $27.50 for Final Release tickets, excluding booking fees. The venue is fully accessible.
