Anything Goes

Anything Goes is Big Gay Piano Bar’s musical theatre open mic night, providing a platform for performers to sing the songs they truly desire. This includes big eleven o’clock numbers, obscure show tunes, classic Broadway belters, contemporary favourites, comedy pieces, heartbreaking ballads, or anything unexpected. Join John Milligan at the piano for an evening celebrating Sydney’s musical theatre community. The night will feature a fabulous lineup of singers alongside the usual spontaneous request moments from Big Gay Piano Bar, promising a gloriously unpredictable musical theatre experience. These community nights aim to offer performers a welcoming, low-pressure environment to try out new material, connect with other singers, and share their favourite songs. Audiences are encouraged to attend to perform, support their friends, or simply enjoy the show with a drink. Performers of all experience levels are welcome, including professionals, emerging artists, students, and enthusiastic musical theatre lovers. Performance spots are selected by video submission; full details and application instructions can be found at gaypianobar.com/community. For one night only, Anything Goes.
