This is the fourth edition of The Playhouse Throwdown, a queer, trans and Indigenous people of colour (QTBIPOC) youth-centred event within Australia's ballroom community. This vogue night event is organised on a not-for-profit basis. All proceeds generated from this event will be directly allocated to gender-affirming care for transgender community members and covering the fees for DJs and photographers. The event introduces "Playhouses," which are mini-houses formed for the occasion. Participants will register online and be randomly assigned to one of five Playhouses. Each Playhouse will represent a pop diva, coordinate outfits to match her aesthetic for effects, and choose a mother/father to lead them and one to judge. The Playhouse with the most Grand Prix points at the end of the night will be crowned supreme. Playhouses must choose a name, parents, a judge to represent them, and a community cause to support if they win Supreme house. Ticket sales and registration will be available at the door.
